Designed in 2013 by Carlotta de Bevilacqua and Paola di Arianello for Artemide, Empatia is a bedside lampin blown glass that combines glassmaking expertise with LED optics. Its glass dome features a precise balance of transparency and opalescence, inherited from Venetian glassblowing, to reflect light without glare or loss of efficiency. Presented after Euroluce 2013, the family comes in three sizes to adapt to the bedside table as well as the side table.

The LED module is positioned in the base, away from the glass, to optimize heat dissipation. The light is then directed to the diffuser by a low-absorption methacrylate optical guide, where it is distributed uniformly. This principle ensures even luminance and effective glare control at close range.

Each piece is shipped via Geodis tracked courier service. Shipping costs are calculated based on the shipping weight, including packaging, and are displayed in the cart before any payment.

Transit takes 48 to 72 business hours after dispatch. The total lead time depends on availability: items in stock ship within 24 to 48 hours, while made-to-order pieces require two to twelve weeks. The lead time for your piece will be confirmed in writing after your order.
