Details

Poul Henningsen designed his first lights in 1925-1926 for an exhibition in Paris. His collaboration with Louis Poulsen continued until his death in 1967. Throughout his life, Poul Henningsen sought to create glare-free direct lighting where it was most needed, and to produce soft shadows using incandescent bulbs.

The PH Louvre was designed for the Adventist Church in Skodborg, Denmark, in 1957. The globe-shaped pendant is composed of 13 shades mounted on four supports. It is a simplified version of an older light fixture designed by Poul Henningsen in 1942, the Spiral.

LED bulbs consume approximately 80% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, while offering a lifespan up to 25 times longer. Furthermore, they generate much less heat, contributing to a safer and more energy-efficient environment. To optimise energy efficiency and minimise environmental impact, we recommend the use of LED bulbs for all our lamps.
