Details

Designed by Verner Panton in 1971, the Panthella Portable 160 adheres to the established principles of the original design. The hemispherical shade and trumpet-shaped base form a reflective system designed to achieve a soft, glare-free light. This version reduces the shade diameter to 160 mm while preserving the proportions that characterize the Panthella collection and Panton’s approach to organic shapes applied to lighting.

Made from durable synthetic materials, the lamp features an integrated LED light source paired with a rechargeable battery, allowing for autonomous use without altering the quality of the light. Its dome shade likens it to models known as mushroom lamps, defined by their rounded geometry and softened light. This portable adaptation thus condenses the qualities of the original model into a compact format.
