Details

Designed in 1978 by Luciano Vistosi for Artemide, Onfale is a bedside lampmade of opal blown glass. It features a mushroom lamp silhouette: a glass diffuser and stem, highlighted by a crystal border hot-applied to the edge of the diffuser. The material conceals the light source and provides a uniform, glare-free light.

The family is available in Piccolo, Medio, and Grande sizes. On the Medio and Grande versions, a second light source housed in the body complements the one in the diffuser to ensure uniform luminance; the two circuits can be controlled separately.

LED bulbs consume approximately 80% less energy than standard incandescent bulbs while offering a lifespan up to 25 times longer. Furthermore, they generate much less heat, thereby contributing to a safer and more energy-efficient environment. To optimize energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact, we recommend using LED bulbs for all our lamps.
